The ORCA (Open Resource Centre for Assessment) Learning Designer (LD) is a position that has been a long time coming and will allow us to take ORCA to the next level. The primary goal of the ORCA LD role is to partner with faculty members and unlock the potential of ORCA as a driver of pedagogical innovation in assessments.

The ideal ORCA LD candidate would have expertise and experience with standard learning designer responsibilities, be very comfortable with technology, and have a experience with scripting and programming to help faculty members build and maintain exam banks on multiple platforms.

The Learning Technology Innovation Centre (LTIC) is located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ – speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) peoples. These lands have long been a place of learning for Musqueam, with cultural and traditional knowledge passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years.
